Abstract

Endobronchial valves offer an alternative to surgical lung volume reductions for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Like in the original report, conducted in 2008, no fully published comparative studies assessing this intervention were identified for this second up-date. Therefore, the intervention’s efficacy and safety cannot be answered reliably.
