Browsing
Browsing is a good way to access documents if you do not have a specific idea of what you are looking for. There are five ways to browse the repository: by publication type, subject, author/editor, institution and year.
You will be presented with a list of possible values, select one of these, and you will be given a list of references to documents in the repository which match this value. To access a paper you have to click on its reference in the display.
On the abstract page you should be able to see what subjects are pertinent to the current document. Clicking on one of those subjects will take you back to the relevant browse by subject view.
Searching
The archive offers two levels of searching: simple search and advanced search that allows you to perform a finer-grained search using more search fields.
Match all constructs a Boolean AND search.
Match any constructs a Boolean OR search.
Some search fields, such as subject or publication type, allow you to select a value from a given list in order to limit a search. If you do not specify a value from these lists the system will default to ANY and thus will retrieve records with any value of this field.
